dire straits sultan of swing!!

Por mais que seja sempre extremamente subjectivo avaliar, ou pelo menos, submeter determinados álbuns a uma possível listagem dos melhores de sempre em determinadas categorias, não deixo de expressar aqui a minha simpatia pessoal por este disco ao vivo dos Dire Straits. A super banda, que nos anos 70, 80 e 90 deliciou plateias pelo mundo inteiro. Já vi referidos, como incontornáveis de uma lista dos melhores álbuns ao vivo de sempre, da denominada música pop anglo-saxónica: The who – live at Leeds, Deep Purple – Made in Japan; The Rolling Stones – Get Yer ya-ya´s Out; Peter Frampton – Frampton Comes Alive, etc. Só para citar alguns….
O Alchemy – dos Dire Straits é provavelmente o melhor disco da banda e um dos maiores concertos registados nos anos 80. Na época o pensamento reinante dos fãs de música Rock a´Roll: “Rock há muito que morreu”. Mas naquele dia louco Julho de 1983, Mark Knopfler (Um dos expoentes máximos da guitarra eléctrica – Não há muitas dúvidas sobre isso) com o seu som de guitarra inconfundível e seus pares mostraram porque eram uma das melhores bandas da altura.
